They were strange post-midnight discussions between friends - when we stumbled on the Ladder Theory. Google for it or check out www.intellectualwhores.com .
2 ladders diverged at the first look,
I took one .... & that has made all the difference.

Ladder theory seems interesting.
I always thought a girl and guy can be just friend till I asked my subconscious about it. It did not say anything to me. It hardly does anyway.
@sudeep :- I always had a constant answer to the above question (interestingly; it was the brains that spoke - my conscious and subc... is mute too), but saying it aloud doesn't show a person in the best light.
I understand your answer without you saying it. The IW site puts it as : "Most guys know this intuitively. Most girls doubt."
Unmatched vertices such as myself have little to do in their lives and may as well dabble in ladder theory as a pastime.
Also, in continuation to what we discussed that day, although there may be a number of augmenting paths from a vertex such as myself, we are looking at stable matchings. And augmenting paths don't really help here.
My conjecture : Ladder theorists are always unmatched.
@sudeep :- I am bad at graph theory and especially so at stable matchings. So augmenting paths and problem 4, continue to elude me :P
My conjecture : Those who are left unmatched take to ladder theory for solace.
I dont agree with it to the fullest extent.. A guy and a girl can be "just friends" for as long as they can be.. but u c,the guy mind is sucha a thing that it always ends up entering into the other side of the story!! I,myself have so many guy-friends who have been ONLY friends ever since I knw them!! so I wont really agree!!
@yashshri :- IW.com doesn't say girls will agree to the theory :P
ha ha .. I disagreed with ur post title! 8-|
interesting theory and so very true!
Can a guy and girl be just friends?
I dunno. In engg school they teach us about Euclidean geometry and Archimedian physics but not about Platonic love. :-P
@aditi: you bet!
@Julia: Apparently, Archimedian Physics works and Euclidean Geometry is true - Platonic love is something who fall from the ladder content themselves with.
Hmmm...Don't ask such questions :D Especially when you either know the answer or won't believe another answer :D It's always good to ask safe questions, but this one could be pretty dangerous if posed by the wrong person at the wrong time :D
